WIP: ZSL-92 IFV UPDATE

Latest updates on the building of the Chinese IFV.

I still can't figure out why this system rotates my photos.  Anyway...

The etched brass is kit.

Have some ideas for the lights and glass.  Going to be using a combination of Ammo and Tamiya clear products.

Used Perfect Plastic Putty on the seams and gaps where needed.  This stuff is FREAKIN great! It goes on easily, and is water clean up.  I put it where I need it, then use a damp q-tip to wipe it down flat.  Be wary though, that once dry, it can still be manipulated once wet again.  It can also be sanded down if need be.

Just a few more minor items and it's painting time.  My airbrushes are NOT up to par anymore.  Both my Iwatas need repairs and so does my Badger Krome.  I ordered a new Krome (yes I am NUTS) and a Patriot 105, for base colors etc.  I have a Badger 100 LG with a large needle, but as of right now, I am NOT happy with it.  It's old tech.  If the Patriot works better for base colors and Primers, I will either sell it or give it away as a prize.  It is BRAND NEW.

This model will be an OOTB model for once.  Good thing it came with some brass.

Star Wars Models from Bandai - Outstanding!

Always wanted some Star Wars models.  Been searching for years, but the ones that Revell make SUCK.  Too toyish.  Finally, Bandai was passed the torch to produce these models.  And MAN, they are SOME GOOD LOOKING MODELS!

So Far this is what has arrived from Japan:

These models are excellent quality.  The detail on them is outstanding.  So far I have the Xwing and Ywing.  There is a Tie fighter, AT-ST, and snow speeder on the way.

It's too bad that Revell has stopped Bandai from selling in North America.  F Revell.  I am vowing NOT to buy Revell anymore for the time being.  The Star Wars models they put out ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE to the Bandai quality.

WIP: ZSL-92 IFV UPDATE

Been working on my IFV all week a few hours each night.  Here is what I have so far:

The suspension was the hardest part.  A little awkward at first, but then it all worked out.

Still need to added the exhaust.  Some etched brass with this kit as standard.
Rear connection looks strange, but I hope to fit it correctly.

WIP: ZSL-92 IFV

So I had the need to start something new, and simple, I need to finish off my "easy" builds and put more finished models on the shelf! Well, it's NOT so easy.  the suspension linkage is a bitch!

Cool model though, and NO TRACKS.  I hope to finish this one quickly.  Here are some pics.

Stay tuned for more updates.  Soon to see, Star Wars Bandai models, and X-Wing table top game! Love Star Wars, and so do my kids.
